A Lagos based prominent lawyer and business man, Chief Andrew Oru has been considered fit and proper to be honoured with a doctorate degree by his alma mater, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
In a letter signed by the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Oguejiofo Ujam, stated that the Governing Council and the Senate of the University have approved that Oru be awarded the Degree of Doctor of Public Administration,DPA(Honoris Causa).
The Degree will be conferred on the Lagos socialite during the 54th Convocation ceremony of the University scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
Oru who is a Director of Aiteo, a big player in the oil and gas industry is also the chairman of Rojitel and several other companies. He is a graduate of law from the University of Nigeria.
