Faith Under Fire: Religious Tensions Escalate with Fatwa Issued Against Christian Evangelists in Northern Nigeria so

An Islamic fundamentalist religious group,Daarul Hadith Islamic Organization of Nigeria has issued a Fatwa targeting Christian evangelists operating in Northern Nigeria. This provocative move comes in the wake of a series of well-coordinated terror attacks, targeting Christians based in the Middle-Belt region of Nigeria with Plateau State serving as the epicenter of these violent incidents perpetrated by Islamist groups.

The terror-related assaults, often fueled by religious domination motives, have sparked widespread condemnation from Christians across Nigeria and local communities directly impacted by the violence.

Among the grievances voiced by these groups is the alleged military intimidation faced by victims and suspicions of tacit support of the security establishment and vested powerful political interests in the country for the perpetrators, particularly the Fulani herdsmen believed to be behind some of the attacks. Calls for thorough government investigations into these allegations have been resounding.

However, the response from certain Islamic sects have only served to exacerbate tensions. The release of a Fatwa (death sentence ) specifically targeting clergymen and evangelists operating in the region signifies a dangerous escalation, with the threat of further violence and chaos looming ominously.

This move by the Islamic sect, Daarul Hadith Islamic Organization of Nigeria not only serve to deepen religious disharmony, but also undermines efforts towards peace and reconciliation in a region already grappling with instability and insecurity.

English Translation
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Of Him, we come from and to Him we shall return.

Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his companions, and to the faithful believers of Jama‘atu Ahl as-Sunnah li-Da‘awati wal-Jihad.

I am issuing this Fatwa to address a significant concern affecting the dignity and honor of Islam and the Muslim community. Kafirs brazenly seduce and deceive our sisters, brothers, sons and daughters into joining their religion while shielding themselves behind the government calling for the arrest and prosecution of the Mumin.

They have made a mockery of Islam by making our sisters, brothers, sons and daughters to abandon and renounce their faith and the teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and tear the Quran in public. This is a heinous crime and a great sin against Allah that cannot be tolerated or forgiven.

As a Kadi and a Mufti, I hereby issue this Fatwa for Solomon Gushie, Jeff Mato, Abiagom Dibia, Pangnaam David, Ufai Malam Manjum & Bayo Gbolahan who are major proponents of this evil agenda against our faith in Northern and Middle Belt Nigeria, to be condemned to death. I declare that these infidels are guilty of proselytizing resulting in apostasy and blasphemy by Muslims and deserve the harshest punishment in this world and the next. They should be killed wherever found! This is the ruling of Allah and His Messenger, and the guidance of the Sharia, which is the only source of legislation for the Muslims.

These proselytes have a history of evading divine judgement in Northern Nigeria which now compels us to issue a nationwide Fatwa. Their pictures have been distributed to the Ummah across the country, urging immediate notification upon his sighting. I hereby call on all valiant Muslims wherever they may be in Nigeria to kill him without delay on sighting him. Whoever is killed in this cause will be a martyr, Mashallah.

Meanwhile if someone has access to him but is incapable of carrying out the execution, he should inform the people so that he his punished for his actions.

I urge you, O believers, to obey this Fatwa and to support the cause of Allah and His Messenger. Do not let this infidel escape or hide from you. Seek him out and eliminate him, for he is an enemy of Allah and His Messenger, and the enemy of Islam and the Muslims. Do not show him any mercy or compassion, for he has shown none to you or to your religion. Do not fear him or his allies, for Allah is with you and He will grant you victory avnd reward.

May peace and blessings of Allah be upon you!
