Edo APC Raises Alarm over Members safety By Obiora Arin.
The Edo State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, has accused Godwin Obaseki of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of plotting to subvert the September 19 governorship election in the state via alleged violent attack and illegal detention of APC’s chieftains in the State.
Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon, the Vice chairman, Media and Publicity Committee made the allegation in a press statement made available to Crossfire.
Honourable Obahiagbon said that “worst still, information have also reached us from sources in Obaseki’s government who are but disillusioned with his nefarious acts that the governor has plotted and perfected a criminally appalling initiative aimed at subverting the will of the people”.
According to Obahiagbon, names of APC’s chieftains in Edo State which includes that of former governor Adams Oshiomhole and Capt Hosa Okunbo whose farm has been allegedly pencilled for arson have been compiled among several others as those to be dealt with by the goons of the governor in a bid to achieve his second term bid.
